Once the wedding has taken place in Switzerland, we will be celebrating our wedding on 8 October 2027 in the town of the Zelin family in Weifang, China. It will be a luncheon lasting from around 11.00 am to 2.00 pm.
If you needed a reason to take a holiday in China, this might just be the perfect opportunity!!
In any case, the Zelin family and we ourselves would be delighted to invite you along. The restaurant has a large dining room, and the number of tables we’ve had to book means there’s plenty of room for everyone.
However, we are mindful of the impact such a journey can have and would ask you not to travel halfway across the world simply for this lunch (however special it may be to us).

The deadline for replies is 10 August 2027 (after our wedding in Switzerland, to avoid any confusion); please feel free to confirm your interest earlier and book your flights well in advance (to get the best prices).
If you’re thinking of coming, here’s some general information.
- The XX Festival will most likely take place from xx October to xx October. This is a public holiday period across the whole country, and tourist attractions and transport are likely to be very busy. We therefore advise you to plan your holiday for after the ceremony.
- We would be delighted to welcome you the day before the wedding.
- We are, of course, on hand if you need any ideas for your holiday plans.
But where is Weifang?
It’s about a 4-hour high-speed train journey from Beijing and about 6 hours from Shanghai, or you can see it here on the map.
